Thoughts on Blogs

I think blogs are great! It feels good to "pretend" I am techologically savvy. I can see their benefit for teachers and for those who wish to create and share their thoughts. I wish more teachers would use blogs in their classroom. I wonder if it is feasible idea, though, in many schools where each classroom might have only one computer. Many students in urban areas might not have computers at home so they would need their access to computers at school.
On a personal level, I barely have time to check my regular email on a daily basis so I think I would have trouble keeping up with a blog but I'm willing to give it a try!

  1. I know what you mean about "on a personal level". We have regular email, school email, tk20, blackboard and whatever else I'm forgetting. And God forbid we should use the same password!!!!
I know when we do become proficient (translation: when our students teach us!)we will put it to good use. I love the fact that we are the first class to have this program (I think!!!)It will look great in our portfolio.
    Did you catch the mousey?

  2. Just post when you have a chance. Telling funny stories like the mouse will keep me interested.

  3. I looked for your comment to me but I didn't see it. Am I blind, stupid or both? Maybe LD?

  4. Continuing your thoughts...
I think that blogs are the next level of icq and facebooks. Blogs impose an additional purpose on communication, purpose to learn from the thoughts of the blog you follow and purpose to convey your message to a broder audience.
